Breakfasts at the Rossignol

Perhaps awakened by the aromas of good coffee and hot croissants, breakfast awaits you downstairs between 8:30 am and 11:00 am, or even on the terrace after the first sunny days, or, if the weather is overcast (uncommon), inside on the large table.

Whether one speaks French, English, Italian or German, this first meal is always an interesting moment of exchange and discovery in a warm and friendly atmosphere; it is each time a shared pleasure.

The breakfast

On the menu

Breakfast is varied and copious. The majority of the products come from the Rognes area and are mostly from organic farming.

Green, black or earl grey teas, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, freshly squeezed orange juice (from Morocco), muesli, blanc-mange, goat cheese from the Brégalon farm, crispy French baguette and cereal breads (sesame, poppy), lavender honey from Benoit's (our local "bee shepherd"), croissants, homemade desserts or cakes, and homemade jams.

Homemade jams

The jams

It is one of the great pleasures of breakfast; taste Beatrice's jams, she prepares her specialties in her copper cauldron: banana-rum, pear-ginger, watermelon-citrus, peach-vanilla, or, more classical, apricots, strawberries, Reine Claude plums, depending on the season.

Italian coffee Moka

The coffee

Our Arabica coffee has always been prepared with Moka Express coffee maker, a symbol of Italian savoir vivre.

In addition, coffee made with Moka contains less caffeine than coffee made with a filter coffee maker.

Funny fact: its inventor, Renato Bialetti "l'omino con i baffi", asked that when he died, his ashes be placed in a big Moka Express.
